Abraham came to America from Cornwall, England and settled in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. By trade he was a Stonemason.

Mineral Point Tribune, Mineral Point, WI., Thursday,April 8, 1897 Page 1
Mr. Abram Goldsworthy and old and respected citizen, died very suddenly on Tues. morning, at 5 o'clock. For some time he has not been in the best of health, although he has been able to be about and on the feet. This was the case on Mon. afternoon. Mr. Goldsworthy came to Mineral Point nearly fifty-six years ago, where he has ever since made his home. During all these years, he has been faithful and true member of Trinity Episcopal Church in this city and when in health and in the city, was always in his seat in church. He was a member of the old vestry of the '50's. He was a mason by trade, and what he could do in the line has a standing evidence in the handsome stone rectory. He married Mary Jenkin, sister of Mr. Samuel Jenkin. She died some seven years ago. Six children survive them, namely William and Samuel E. Boulder, Colorado, James of Prescott, this state, Mrs. Thos. Given of Manchester, Iowa, Mrs. Robert M. Crawford of this city and Mrs. W. W. Oates of Stockton, Calif. The familiar figure of Mr. Goldsworthy on the street has impressed itself upon the memory of all, who for years have seen him going out and coming in; and for them, one of the old landmarks has been taken away. They will miss him and they will realize in his death the changes that are being wrought in what we call our quiet and eventful years. Of his personal character there is no need to speak. His goodness and faithful discharge of the duties of life which came to him in his sphere of action, made themselves felt at home and in the wider relations of life.
The funeral will be held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock with services at Trinity Church.
