Martha E. Stephens, 97, of 20 Summit Court, Caldwell, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home.

She was born near Calais, Ohio on March 11, 1916 a daughter of the late Jerome and Mable Carpenter Morris.

Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Summerfield Church of Christ, Summerfield, Ohio. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Tuscon, Arizona.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Stephens on March 18, 1994; two brothers, Robert J. Morris and Racey Adair Morris; and two sisters, Lola Martin and Maxine Sawyer.

Surviving are three daughters, Norma Jean Cline of Summerfield, Ohio, Lillie Keylor of Caldwell, Ohio, and Mrs. Mack (Sue) Buckenburger of Utica, Ohio; one son, James William Stephens and his wife Patty of Caldwell, Ohio; one brother McKinley (Norma) Morris of Summerfield, Ohio; two sisters, Grace Hannahs of Quaker City, Ohio and Janet (Roger) Christman of Baltimore, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Morris of Summerfield, Ohio, and Ann Morris of Hilliard, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 50 great great granchildren.

Friends will be received at the Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, 202 Main Street, Summerfield, Ohio from 11a.m. until the time of services at 2p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 with Frank Love officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.
