John P. Neiderer, 93, formerly of Hanover, died Friday afternoon at the Hanover Hall Nursing Home, where he had been a guest for 25 months.
Born in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary Wagaman Neiderer. He was the husband of the late Dorothy G. Staub Neiderer, who died in 1963.
A retired farmer, he was a membeer of the Sacred Heart Basilica in Edge Grove. He was a member of the McSherrystown and Irishtown FIre Companies.
He is survived by five daughters and two sons, Mrs. George W. (Evelyn) Miller, Hanover; Mrs. Bernadette Jacoby, New Oxford; Mrs. Cecelia C. Klunk , Hanover; Mrs. Edward R. (Teresa) Donnely; Hanover; Charles L. Neiderer, Hanover; and James A. Neiderer, Spring Grove. He is aslo survived by 42 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Al Neiderer, Hanover Hall, Hanover and Paul C. Neiderer, Hanover; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Pollack, Vero Beach, Fla; Mrs. Ethel Daily, Laport, Ind., and Mrs. Pauline Shildt, Littlestown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Hicks Funeral Home, McSherrystown at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Sacred Heart Basilica at 9 a.m. with his pastor, Monsignor George W. Rost officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
