A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for John J. Boudreaux Jr., 93, a native and resident of Leeville, who died at 11:57 a.m. March 25, 2001.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the husband of Lily Carlos Masse Boudreaux; father of Lanny Boudreaux; stepfather of Larry A. Guidry, Alfred and John Masse, Dorothy Guidry Theriot, Fabby Guidry Leger and Linda Masse Twigg; and brother of Esperance "Brownie" Cheramie and Estella Cuneo. He is also survived by 32
grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phelonise Rebstock Boudreaux; second wife, Octavia Pitre Guidry Boudreaux; parents, John Sr. and Ezelia Cheramie Boudreaux; daughters, Marlene Boudreaux Hornback; brothers, Ludovic, Jefferson and Claiborne Boudreaux; sisters, Ezelia B. Domangue and Lozia B. Sonier; and grandchild, Teddy Theriot.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He was the owner of Boudreaux's Motel in Leeville.
