Stella Maude Caffery, 87, of Lufkin, was born July 24, 1922 in Cameron, Texas, the daughter of the late Susie Bell (Breeden) and Macon Clint Callicotte. She passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Caffery was a homemaker and a spirited wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Evalene and Thomas Wayne Roberts; daughters Penny A. Schmidt and Melanie K. Patterson; son and daughter-in-law, Claude T. and Irma Caffery; grandsons, Chris McCarty, Dustin Patterson and Steven R. Patterson; granddaughters, Donna Hill and Cara Renschler; great-grandchildren, Anthony Roberts, Candice Renschler and Xander McCarty; and a number of other family members and friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Caffery will be held in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
