INDIAN TRAIL - Robert Jasper Clontz, age 78, Indian Trail, passed away on October 22, 2013 at Lake Park Nursing Home. Mr. Clontz was born on May 15, 1935 in Union County, NC to the late Baxter H. and Ocie Clontz. Visitation for Mr. Clontz will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home - Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. The funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. Mr. Clontz was the last of his siblings to pass away. He was a dedicated and committed man who prided himself on the 50 year marriage to the love of his life, Mable Lee "Susie" Faulkenbury Clontz and his long-time career with Duke Power where he retired as a Linesman after 27 years service. In his spare time, Mr. Clontz enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his family. In addition to being survived by his wife Susie, Robert leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Robert Clontz and his wife Janet and their children Heather, Amanda and Aaron and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by one son Danny Ross Clontz. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the Shriner's Children's hospital.
