OSWEGO - Dorothy Courtright, 59, of Labette City died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, as the result of an auto accident south of Pittsburg. She was born July 31, 1946, in Joplin to Orin John and Mamie Louise (Mallory) Ringen. She attended schools in Joplin. She attended Labette Baptist Church and was a homemaker all her life. She married Kenny Courtright on March 2, 1981, in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death in 2004. Survivors include a son, Robert "Rob" Newby of Pittsburg; a daughter, Vicky Collins of Oswego; four grandchildren, Samantha and John Wayne Collins, Nathan and Alexis Newby; and a brother, O.J. Ringen of Ashgrove, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Donna. The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Murdock Funeral Home in Oswego with burial in Labette City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
