Chester Austin Belnap passed away at his longtime residence in Murray.

"Chet" was the seventh of nine children born to James G. Belnap and Chloe May Beus, and is the last surviving member of his family.

Chet married Lucille Knapp on May 26, 1945 in Salt Lake City.

He was an independent plumbing contractor and had been retired for some years.

Chet was a WWII Veteran, having served in the 5307th Composite Unit as a member of Merrill's Marauders'. He was a dedicated official of Murray Little League Baseball, where he worked with 100's of Murray's youth.

He is survived by his children, James G. (Marsha), Barbara Olschesky, David C. (Vicki), and Jeffrey D. He had ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; and two grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Graveside services and interment will be held in the Hooper City Cemetery, 5340 South 6300 West, Hooper, on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
