The son of John Young and Sally Fairchild. In 1870, he was enumerated with his brother (John) as Ashley Youngs (extra "S", commonly found in this family). Bellevue, Eaton, MI.
In 1910, he is enumerated as Ash Youngs, age 60, living alone in Rose Lake, Eaton, MI.

I believe he never married.

His death certificate states he was 65 years old, provided by the County Hospital, not a family member, who also did not know who his parents were. I believe his birth was nearer to 1851, as supported by census entries when living with his parents as well as alone.

His father's (John Young) memorial, by contributor meredith stoehr, states the births of the last 2 of 13 children (i.e., Ashley and Emma) were in 1851 and 1854, in Bellevue.

Those interested in this family should read biographical entries online at: The Past and present of Eaton County, Michigan, historically: together with biographical sketches of many of its leading and prominent citizens and illustrious dead

Updated 15 Nov 2015: Added bio information and linkages. Removed "gangerine" from bio, as that was not given on his death certificate (aortic regurgitation). Also change yob from 1860 to 1851. Bio written by J. Cooper.
