Former Henry County Nursing Home activity coordinator and beautician Laura B. Hoofman, 91, of Paris died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Grant Ostrom will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mansfield.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Born July 3, 1922, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late Asa Carl Hoofman and Myrtle Virginia Porter.

She was married to Alvin Travis Hoofman Sr., who died in March 1970.

She was later married to John Victor Whitworth, who died in March 1988.

She was a member of Spring Creek Missionary Church.

She leaves one son: Tommy Whitworth of Saltillo, Texas; one sister: Madge Conyers of Springville; six grandchildren: Johnny (Carol) Whitworth, Kathy (Jerry) Thweatt, Mitchell (Shelia) Whitworth, Tommy (Jenny) Whitworth, David Travis Whitworth and Justice Whitworth; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend: Betty Simmons Wilson of Hollow Rock.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Gladys Hill and Vivian Dowdy; and one brother: Thomas Quitman Hoofman.
