Mrs. P. M. Strange, 82, of Columbia, died recently in Pensacola, Fla. while on an extended visit with her son, Laney Strange.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. recently at the Riser and Son Funeral Home chapel. Interment followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to Laney Strange, include two other sons, Joe and Andrew Strange, both of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Lou Tullos, California; Mrs. Mildred McAfee of Columbia; two brothers, Malcolm Hawthrone [sic Hawthorne] of Little Creek, and Sim Hawthrone [sic Hawthorne] of Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Ellie Hudson of Kinder; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
