TUPELO – Shirley Bell Williams, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior after an extended illness on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. She was born in Union County on March 20, 1939, to Lewis and Annie Sue Chism Bell. She was the middle child of five children and only daughter.

She married her best friend, Henry Williams on Jan. 4, 1964. She enjoyed baking, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Tupelo and a former member of First Baptist Church in Verona for many years.

A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Randy Wood officiating. A private burial will be at Lee Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Henry; daughters, Sonya Haas (Tom), Kim Lothorp (Kevin) and Kristin Logan (Josh); one son, Michael Bell; stepsons, Raymond and Billy Wayne Williams of Tennessee; grandchildren, Ethan Haas, Kasey, Kaden and Klay Lothorp and Ava Ann Logan; and her brothers, Lonnie Bell (Jean), Larry Bell (Jane) and Johnny Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Lee Bell; and nephew, Craig Bell.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today and from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ron Holifield, Hugh Holcomb, Jake Logan, Steve Hill, Billy Landsdell and Bill Kestner.
