Dorothy Lue Grable, 94, of Agency, departed from this life Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
She was born November 27, 1918 to Henry and Beulah (Whitson) Davis. She resided her entire life on the same farm which had been homesteaded by her great-grandparents. She graduated from Agency High School in 1936. She married George L. Grable on August 12, 1939. He passed away January 14, 1997.
She was a life-long member of the Agency United Methodist Church. She held many positions in the church during the years and remained active until her recent illness. She was a member of the Day Lilies women's group. She enjoyed hand-quilting many beautiful quilts for the church.
She enjoyed reading poetry and thought laughter was very important in life.
Her life was her family, friends and her church. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Ann Reynolds and husband Eddie of Agency, a son, Wayne Grable and wife Penny of Agency, four grandchildren, Gail Sutton and husband Scott of Agency, Craig Reynolds and wife Mikka of Kansas City, MO, Derek Grable of Agency and Bethany Knapp and husband Tad of St. Joseph. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Taylor Sutton, Kami Sutton, Olivia Reynolds, Sophia Reynolds and Casen Knapp. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Joy Ellis Grable and wife Lois of Branson, her church family and many friends.
Services 1:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Agency United Methodist Church in Agency, Missouri.
