Agatha (Aggie) Pfannenstiel, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012. She was 96, born September 28, 1915 in Ellis, KS to Alex and Margaret (Krapp) Waldschmidt.
Aggie married Julius (Whittey) in October of 1936 in Kansas. They moved to Washington in 1937. Aggie worked for Kelly Farquhar Cannery in Ferndale for many years. She volunteered with Mountain View Elementary School and Hovander Farm. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, serving in the Ladies Circle.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Whittey in 1972; son-in-law Jim Nipges in 2006; and granddaughter Debra Jo Tapley in 2011. Aggie is survived by her children, Robert (Janice) Pfannenstiel, Kenneth (Jean) Pfannenstiel, Karen Nipges; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice or a charity of your choice. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 10, at 10:30 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ferndale.
