She was born on May 18, 1923, in Riley Township to Roy and Helen (Yerke) Anderson. On Oct. 25, 1947, in Marengo, she married Ralph Mallory.
She began her career at J. A. Steele Dentistry in Marengo. She was a secretary with Arnold Engineering in Marengo for 15 years and was with A. M. Wallace Insurance Agency for 26 years, retiring in 1985.
She is survived by her husband of Marengo; a daughter, Kim (Mike) Pollnow of Marengo; a son, Cary (Dolores) Mallory of Marengo; four grandchildren, Nicole Mallory of Kenosha, Wis., Andrea Mallory and Amy and Abby Pollnow, all of Marengo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Donald Q. Hubbs.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo, and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Marengo United Methodist Church until the funeral at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Joy Starwalt officiating.
Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois or the Marengo United Methodist Church.
