She was born in Union, SC on December 2, 1928 to Floy Gilbert and James Harley Addison.
Bobby received her degree from Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing.
She touched many lives throughout her 22 years of nursing. Bobby enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking and playing games with her family and friends.
Warren Robert 'Bob' Cathcart, Jr., 82, of Cary, NC, died December 16, 2008.
He was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 31, 1926 to Theresa Merling and Warren Robert Cathcart.
Bob received his Bachelor's degree from Clemson University. Through his career of over 40 years, he was a school teacher, city engineer, city manager and Human Resources Director. After his retirement, he became an avid golfer and in later years, routinely scored his age.
Bobby and Bob were married on August 20, 1949.
Together they raised their four children in Mt. Holly, NC. They moved to Cary, NC in 2003.
They remained members of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Holly, NC.
They are survived by their children, Trip Cathcart and wife Karen, Joy Scott, Betsy Benoit and husband Pete, and Jean Burger and husband Ron; grandchildren, Kate Cathcart, Carrie Rashid and husband Shan, and Meg and Molly Scott, Rob and Brian Scott, and Zachary Burger; and great-grandchildren, Zoeya Rashid and Hailey Scott.
Bobby and Bob will be remembered by their family as loving parents and grandparents. They will especially be remembered for their zest for life, sense of humor and love for each other and their family.
