ELLA MAE ANDERSON HARRIS MCGEE, 96, went peacefully into heaven on February 22, 2006. Born in Bullard, TX on August 1, 1909, she had lived in Houston since 1937, until moving to Onalaska, TX in 1997. She was preceded in death by husbands, Ashley Anderson, Leith Harris, and Ben McGee; daughter, Helen Anderson, step-daughter, Glenda Brown; grandson, Kenneth Brittain; siblings, Herman, Richard, Ethel and Lula Belle. She is survived by daughter, Jo Ann Brittain, and husband, Jim; grandson, David Brittain and wife, Loyce; great-grandson, Kenny Brittain and fiancé, Amanda Johnson; great-granddaughter, Stefanie Norris and husband, Jason, great-great-granddaughter, Emma Norris; step-daughters, Mildred Coburn and Catherine Walker, plus many nieces and nephews. Her care giver for the last six years has been Maryann McDaniel. Ella Mae was a homemaker, sold Avon for many years, and was her neighborhood hairdresser. She was a Baptist who loved music and going to church. Family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 P.M. Friday at Forest Park Lawndale. Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2006 in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale, Rev. Dennis Whitmire officiating. Private Interment: Sunday at Anderson Cemetery in Panola County, TX near Carthage.
