Birth year of 1857 listed on death certificate is incorrect. The following documents show a birth year of ca. 1845-1846 as follows (except where otherwise noted):

1851 UK Census of Brockworth, Gloucestershire shows Agnes Pates [sic] living with her parents John and M.A. Pates and her siblings M.A. (sister), Edward, William and Henry Pates. Her age in that record is listed as 5 years old.

1861 UK Census of Wellington, Somerset shows an Agnes Peats [sic], age 18, living with her aunt Hannah Holley. Her birthplace in this record is also listed as Brockworth, Gloucester.

Agnes's first marriage occurred in 1867 and the document recording the event lists her as "of full age". If she were born in 1857, she would have been a minor and too young to marry.

Her first husband was Walter Davis, whom she married at St. James Church, near St. James in Gloucester, England on May 19, 1867.

1871 UK Census of Monmouthshire, Wales shows Agnes's birthplace as Brockworth, Gloucestershire and her age as 26 years old. This yields a likelier birth year of 1845.

Her second husband was Charles Benford, whom she married between her arrival in the US in the late 1870s and the enumeration of the 1880 US Census of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. In that record her children from her first marriage were listed under the Benford name:

Florence, age 12
Eva, age 11 (1871 Wales Census shows age as 3 years old)
Anna, age 8

In the 1900 US Census of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Agnes is listed with her husband Charles, with a birth month and year of March 1850, and two daughters who match the 1880 extract above:

Anna Davis, birth month/year May 1876 (born in England)
Florence Boutall, birth month/year March 1870 (born in England)

Florence's first husband was Fred Boutall, whom she married on November 4, 1890. Her second husband was William J. Hill, whom she married on July 11, 1921.

Eva Davis married (first) Grant Gaines in 1894 and after apparently divorcing him for neglect of their daughters, she married Louis A. Weinberger in 1905.
