MAX MEADOWS -
Alvin Harrison Spence, age 68 of Max Meadows, Va. passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1938 in Pulaski, son of the late Raymond and Violet Spence. He was a retired carpenter and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Denver Spence, Sr., a granddaughter, Penny Ann Spence, three sisters and one brother. Surviving are: his wife, Ruby Spence; three sons, Alvin Dwayne Spence, Max Meadows, Mark Allen Spence, Marion, Randy Scott Spence, Max Meadows; 12 grand children and three great-grandchildren; six brothers, Bruce Spence, Pulaski, Elwood Spence, Manassas, Doug Spence, Dublin, Roger Spence, Pearisburg, A. D. Spence, Ashland, Sam Spence, Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Wall officiating. Interment will follow in the Spence Cemetery in Sylvatus.
