Joe E. Victor, 81, of Columbia died Sunday, July 24, 1994, at Columbia
Regional Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Memorial Park
Cemetery with the Rev. John Yonker officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30
to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Parker Funeral Service.
Mr. Victor was born July 13, 1913, in Boone County, to William W. and Helen
Baumgartner Victor. On Sept. 28, 1978, he married Virginia Rogers Mitchell,
and she survives.
He was a graduate of the Columbia Public Schools and managed the TG & Y
department store in Columbia from 1978 until his retirement.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge in San
Antonio, the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbia, the Columbia Kennel Club and
the St. Louis Brittany Club.
Surviving along with his wife are a daughter, Nikkie Anderson of San Lorenzo,
Calif.; a stepson, Pat Mitchell of Chicago; two brothers, Bill Victor of Red
Oak, Iowa, and Mac Victor of Bedford, Texas; two sisters, Betty Coleman of
Columbia and Janis Edick of Fairfax, Va.; three grandchildren, three
stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and his parents.
