Oscar H. Bretz, 87, a Huntingburg poultry dealer, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Monday.
Oscar Bretz was born on Dec. 21, 1888, at Huntingburg to Louis J. and Catherine (Moeller) Bretz.
He served in the army during World War I.
On Nov. 3, 1921, he was married to Mabel Alpers, who survives. Also surviving are the son, Fred; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Frederixon; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Wulfman and Mrs. Hilda Landgrebe; and five grandchildren.
Schmutzler Funeral Home; burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
