Major Robert W. Roskelley, USAF (Ret.) age 84, of Poulsbo, WA died September 2, 2005 in Bremerton. He was born on June 21, 1921 in Salt Lake City, UT to Dr. Richard and Alice (Phelan) Roskelley. Robert graduated with the class of 1940 in Challis, ID. He married Marjorie Kay Lafton on March 22, 1943 in Challis. He attended the University of Idaho prior to enlisting in the US Air Force. Mr. Roskelley served in the Air Force during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam achieving the rank of Major. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry, and gardening. Mr. Roskelley was a member of The Elks Lodge #1604. He was a Lutheran. He is survived by his loving wife Kay of Poulsbo; sons Robert and his wife Wilma of Anchorage, AK, David and wife Myra of Pasco, WA, John and wife Mary of Lake Stevens, WA; daughter Laura and husband Karl Erickson of Poulsbo; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers Fenton and Byron Roskelley . He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Richard and Alice (Phelan) Roskelley, brother Richard Roskelley and sister Shirley Maraffio.
