Mrs. Ora Mae [Breunig] Schaaf, 87, formerly of 1413 Menomonie, died Tuesday evening [17 Dec. 1974] at the Mount Washington Rest Home.
Ora Mae Breunig was born Aug. 10, 1887, in Durand [Wis.]
She married John Peter Schaaf on July 14, 1908, at Durand, and moved to Eau Claire the same year.
Mrs. Schaaf was the last member of the Breunig family which founded the Breunig breweries.
Mrs. Schaaf was a member of the St. James Rosary Confraternity and the Catholic Women's Club of Eau Claire.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William [Kathleen] Candell, Eau Claire; two sons, Douglas, Fairmont, Minn., and Gerald of Eau Claire; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Golden Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with the Rev. William Rorke officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday until services Friday. A rosary will be recited by the St. James Rosary Confraternity at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and the Catholic Women's Club and the public will recite a rosary at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
