Born January 9, 1948, in Spartanburg, SC; son of the late Walter Varoman Johnson and Jessie Mae Cannon Johnson Jackson.
Employed with Inman Mills, Saybrook Plant, and was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church of Spartanburg.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Johnson; daughters, Rhonda Shehan (Darrell) and Debra Johnson; granddaughter, Jessica Shehan; grandson, Jamey Shehan; sister, Naomi Ruth Jones; two brothers, Jack Lee "Jackie" Johnson and Donald Ray Johnson; and his stepfather, Vernon Jackson.
Visitation was held from 5:00 - 9:00 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2005, at the home.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 30, 2005, at Una First Free Will Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash.
