Fred Howard Hart, Sr., age 96, of DeSoto, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in Dallas. He was born July 7, 1917 in Red Oak to Silas and Monica (Wallis) Hart. Fred married Mary Elizabeth Curry on January 17, 1942. He served in the U. S. Army Air Forces during World War II and retired from Vought Aerospace after 35 years of service. Fred was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Hart and wife Debbie of Whitney and Fred Hart, Jr. and wife Gay of Ovilla; two daughters, Judy Cathey and husband Keith of Ovilla and Donna Konrardy and husband Steve of Red Oak; son-in-law, Glenn Standard; eleven grandchildren, Kellie Pike, Jon Hart, Sarah Arnold, Will Hart, Diane Turner, Kirk Neal, Tonya Hart, Tiffany Rockford, Heather Gordon, Lauren Konrardy and Garrett Konrardy; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary; daughter, Sandra Standard; seven brothers, Cornelius, Everett, Manford, Ralph, Cecil, Herschel and Riley; two sisters, Lorene Ashley and Nola Wheeler.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8PM Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
