Miss Janie Rodgers, 70 of 527 Howard Street in Carthage, Missouri passed away at her home of heart disease due to complications of influenza. Her Missouri Death Certificate reported that she had never married and was employed as a seamstress at Smith Bros. Manufacturing Company in Carthage. Her brother Andrew Rodgers has lived with her until his passing in 1947. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Knell Mortuary and burial was in Jasper Cemetery southeast of Carthage.
