Aaron Gabbard, 47, of 531 N. Leland, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. He was employed by Slatile Roofing Co. Born on Feb. 24, 1929 in Jackson County, Ky., he lived here eight years, coming from Taylor, Mich.

On Jan. 15, 1947, in Russell Springs, Ky., he married Jean Sawyer, who survives, along with four daughters, Carolyn, Debbie, Melinda, and Marie, all at home; three sons, Ernest Wayne of Howell, Mich., Bennie E. and Larry Aaron, both of South Bend; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Gabbard of Livonia, Mich.; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wanda Smith of Brighton, Mich., and three brothers, Raymond of Adel, Ga., James Donald of Woodbine, Ga., and Charles of Brighton.
