OBITUARY-
SPRING VALLEY -- The funeral for Ruth I. Baarsch will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hutchins Funeral Home in Le Roy, with the Rev. Tom Kolden officiating. Burial will in Frankford Cemetery in rural Spring Valley.
Mrs. Baarsch, 83, a former Spring Valley and Chester, Iowa, homemaker, died Saturday Jan. 2, 1999 at the Cresco, Iowa, Health Care Center.
Ruth I. Cleveland was born May 9, 1916, in Webster, S.D. On June 13, 1959, she married Dwayne Baarsch in Spring Valley. He died in 1981.
Survivors include a son, Gene Larson of Chester, Iowa; a daughter, Delores "Kay" Stokstad of Oregon, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
