Wife of Samuel F. Gilliam until his accidental death in 1931 in an explosion. Mother of Hazel, Bernice, Wilma, Ferrol, Cora, Esma, Cecil and Virgil. Daughter of Alfonzo Doblin "Dob" Bennett and Cora Zapora Wilson. In 1941 she married James Bernard Stein. When Jim died in 1959, Lexie returned his body to Arkansas to be buried next to his first wife. Lexie was buried next to Samuel when she died.
