JoAnn (Roe) Mulkey, 75, entered into the gates of Heaven at 2:35 p.m. on Monday, September 30. She was lovingly surrounded by family when her Savior called her home. She was born to Frances (Walker) and Clyde Roe on November 19, 1937 in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee. She had lived in Kokomo since she was a young girl. On August 31, 1964, she married James "Roy" Mulkey who survives. She worked at Delco for 30 years and retired in 1992. She was baptized and was a member at Hillside Missionary Baptist Church, Burlington, IN.
Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her memories will be kept alive by her surviving loved ones, daughter, Amanda (David) Smith, son, Jeffrey Mulkey; step-son, James (Kristal) Mulkey Jr. and step-daughter, Debbie (Tim) Ungerer; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Sara, Chase, Jordan, Rachel, Jessica, Dusti, and Heather; seven great grandchildren including one to be born in March; nine step-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her baby yorkie, Abbie Rose and her niece and best friend Judy (Mike) Dougherty.
Her grand reunion into Heaven will include her parents and all of her siblings Helen (Rick) Bailey, Larry (Judy) Roe, Gary Roe and Darrell (April) Roe; step-daughter, Rhonda Nehme and her life-long friend and cousin, Jetta Cook.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 5 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road with Pastor Doyle Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
