Juanita Arledge Taylor, 82, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Mission Hospital.

A native of Polk County, she was a daughter of Arnold H. and Orpha Newman Arledge. She was wife of the late JM Taylor who died in 2002. Juanita was a loving mother and a substitute teacher and at one time owned a successful catering business called Taylor Catering. She was a long-time member of Biltmore Baptist Church where she was a member of her connect group at the church.

Juanita is survived by two daughters, Ann Taylor of Arden, Vicki Bradford of Kingston, New York; a son, Jerry Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Jo Jackson and Patsy Williams both of Mill Spring; two brothers, Donald Arledge of Mill Spring and Jack Arledge of Durham. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 in the Terrace Hall at Biltmore Baptist Church with the Reverend Sam McLamb officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County.
