Elizabeth Faye Thompson Moore, age 93 of Hayesville went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 26, 2013.

She was a native of Rabun County, Georgia and the daughter of the late Fredrick and Icie Blalock Thompson. Faye spent 22 years as a weaver at the Hambige Center and had exhibitions displayed at the Smithsonian Institution. After her marriage she spent the rest of her life as a dedicated, full time wife and mother. Faye enjoyed gardening, canning and taking care of her home. She was a member of the Shooting Creek Church of God in Hayesville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. (Stump) Moore; one daughter, Lou Jean Cullpepper; one brother, Harold Thompson and four sisters, Ruth T. Darnell, Blanch T. Lovell, Cordella T. Cannon and Etrulia T. Hooper.

She is survived by four sons, Daryl Moore of Hayesville, Dwight Moore of Hayesville, Bobby Moore and wife Terry of Jasper, GA and Tommy Moore and wife Pat of Hayesville, NC; 11 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. The Rev. Ben Summit and Rev. Rob Sizemore will officiate. Special music will be provided by Becky Swanson and Mike Garrett. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chuck Moore, Bruce Moore, Steven Moore, Fredrick Hooper, Blake Brook and Preston Cabe. Honorary pallbearers will be Monroe Davenport and Clay Joppie.

The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 2:00 pm, Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Faye Thompson Moore to the Bethel Cemetery Fund.
