He was a member of Harry B. Bentley Post, American Legion, and the Pine City Rod & Gun Club.
Survived by his wife; a daughter and son; his mother, Mrs. Mary Silvers of Bluff, NC; four brothers, Ernest of Elmira, NY, Coy of Pine City, NY, and McClellan and Dean, both of Bluff, NC; and five sisters, Mrs. Frank Ledford of Elmira, NY, Mrs. Foy Lusk of Wellsburg, NY, Mrs. Tom Riddle of Fletcher, NC, and Mrs. Lonnie (Pearl) Goforth and Mrs. Leo (Vivian) Keener, both of Bluff, NC.
Funeral services: Saturday, June 3, Holly-Keck Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Leonard A. Guiles.
Burial: Woodlawn National Cemetery, with full military honors accorded at the grave.
