LLOYD—At his residence in East Brainerd, Monday June 11th, 1888, E. W. Lloyd, aged 86 years.
Mr. Lloyd was born in Colchester, N. Y. in 1802. His death was the natural result of a ripe old age. The deceased was highly respected by all who knew him, and during his six years residence in Brainerd he had made many warm friends. Mrs. John Atkinson, wife of Ald. Atkinson, and a son now at Butte City, are the only children. His married life extended over a period of 58 years and his wife is left to mourn the death of a kind husband. The remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, the services taking place from the East Brainerd Congregational church.

                     CARD OF THANKS.
The family of the late E. W. Lloyd desire the DISPATCH to extend their sincere thanks to friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted during the illness and death of Mr. Lloyd, and especially to Mrs. D. L. Babcock, whose kindness will ever be remembered. (Brainerd Dispatch, 15 June 1888, p. 4, c. 4)
