Agnes L. Handke, 86, of Sioux City died Saturday, November 6, 1999 at Harvest Morningside Retirement Center.

Mrs. Handke was born July 29, 1913, in Parkston, S.D., the daughter of Michael and Marie (Polreis) Braunschmidt. She was raised in Parkston and moved to Sioux City in the early 1930’s.

She married Portis H. Handke in April 1947, in Sioux City. He died November 2, 1962, in Sioux City.

She was employed with Armour and Co. briefly and then was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Ellis M. Foreman of LeMars, Iowa, and LaVonne and her husband, Michael Delperdang, of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Joseph and Marje Braunschmidt of Plankinton, S.D.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
