Ellie was born on May 17, 1948 in Sioux City, the daughter of Portis and Agnes (Braurschmidt) Handke. She attended school at Central and Heelan High School.
Ellie was married to Rodney Foreman and they later divorced. Ellie had her own ceramic shop when she was younger where she made crafts and pottery. She also enjoyed over the years making blankets and crocheting.
Ellie is survived by her sons Chris (Kristie) Foreman and Wade Foreman, her daughter Carrie (Brian) Berke, grandchildren James, Cheyenne, Briana, Miranda, Ariel and Brittney, great grandchildren Sage, Avayla, Salem, Isabella, Valarie, Braxton and Layton, and one sister, Lavonne (Patrick) Delperdang.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
