Dorothy M. Bush, 84, a resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, died there Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, following a brief illness.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. R. Dixon Jennings. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Jaster; a son-in-law, Don Malecek; three grandsons, Nathan Bush, Andrew James Miller and Franklin Basemann; a granddaughter, Rhonda Kay Miller; and a great-grandson, Jeffrey Mathews.

Dorothy was born Jan. 8, 1916, the daughter of John and Martha Hanzel Kulper, in Clayton County.

She worked at Quaker Oats for 12 years and retired from Armstrong's Department Store as a bookkeeper/secretary.

Dorothy was willing to learn and always going to different classes.

She enjoyed gardening and as a great cook used her talents at Colesburg School and Krebs Restaurant.

Dorothy made the best homemade bread in the world.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial fund has been established in memory of Dorothy.
