Susie Carol Walden, 65, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, September 28th, at Greenview Hospital, in Bowling Green.
Carol was born in Monroe County, KY on June 11, 1948, a daughter of Dorotha (Short) Walden and the late Bertie Ellsworth Walden.
She was employed by the Monroe County Board of Education in Tompkinsville, KY for over 35 years before retiring. Carol was of Missionary Baptist Church faith.
Carol is also survived by a sister, Connie Young, of Tompkinsville, KY; five brothers, Rex Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY; Jerry Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY; Noel Walden, of Gallatin, TN; Jackie Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY; Jimmy Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Carol is also preceded in death by two brothers; Ronnie and Billy Joe Walden.
Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Timmy Eaton and Bro. Paul Strong officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday night from 5:00-9:00 P.M., Monday from 6:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 6:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library or to the TES Backpack Program.
