This grave was originally in the Skidmore Cemetery near Bakers Run. All 211 graves in the cemetery (No 6) were relocated by the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1959/60 to a brand new Braxton County Memorial Cemetery prior to the completion of the Sutton Dam . The original site was submerged in the backwaters of the dam.
