Thomas Stuckey Taken In Death
Thomas T. Stuckey, 92, 600 S. Main St., died Friday at 5:10 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital after an illness of one day.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in charge of the Rev. Ned C. Gillum. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends. Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
Stuckey had been a resident of Fairfield for 68 years. He was associated with the Gossick Mill here for many years.
He was born Oct. 1, 1877 in Washington, Ill., the son of Peter and Catherine Engel Stuckey. He was married to Helen Gardner Oct. 1, 1907 at Stockport.
Surviving are his widow and three sons: William H., Longview, Tex.; Albert E., Chicago, Ill.; and Paul E., Oaklawn, Ill. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Adah Lugibihl, Chicago. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
