Artie Harrington, 88, died September 25, 2013 in Borger.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Borger, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Harrington was born October 7, 1924 in Shamrock, Oklahoma. She married Charles Harrington on December 21, 1942 in Drumright, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in April of 2006. Artie had been a resident of Pampa most of her life, moving to Borger in 2010. She was a member of First Assembly of God since 1951. She enjoyed painting and quilting. Artie was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Steele of Huffman and Sharon Moss and husband John of Borger, a son, Jerry Harrington of Pampa, a brother, C. H. Switzer of Clovis, New Mexico, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Borger Nursing Home and BSA Hospice for taking good care of Artie.
