Services for Olive Christine Franker, 92 of Spencer will be at 1:30 p.m. in First Christian Church in Spencer, the Rev. David Nash will officiate. Casket bearers will be Jim McMichael, Bob Rausch, Dale Woolery, Warren Simpson, Michael Hannon and Bill Rausch. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer. The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Franker died at Longhouse Residence in Spencer on Thursday, May 24.


She was born April 12, 1898 to Otto and Lillian (Chase) Swanson in Stuart. Her childhood years were spent in Stuart where she received her early education. Following her schooling, she worked in Stuart. She married Walter Banning on February 21, 1916 in Des Moines. Following their marriage they continued to live in Stuart until moving to Spencer in 1929 Mrs. Franker married Henry Rausch on February 1, 1941 in Spencer. Following his death, she married Oscar Joe Franker on March 23, 1959 in Jackson, Minnesota.


For many years she worked at Bjornstad's Hardware in addition to other businesses in Spencer. Mrs. Franker was a member of the First Christian Church where she was active in a church group and was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge in Spencer. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, two infant daughters, one sister, one brother and four step children.


Mrs. Franker is survived by three daughters, Marian and her husband Ray Rausch of Akeley, Minnesota, and Fern Traughber and Myrtle Rausch, both of Spencer; one step daughter and her husband, Corine and Reid Jones of Spencer; two step sons and their wives, Grant and Betty Franker of Spirit Lake and Art and Phyllis Franker of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two step grandchildren; one brother, Rex Swanson of Newton and two sisters, Grace Cotter of Newton and Clara Dash of Denver, Colorado
