Ben H. May, of Cardston, Dies
War Veteran and Scout Leader Succumbs to Illness At Age 50

Ben H. May died at his home in Cardston Tuesday night, following a brief illness, from pneumonia and heart trouble. He was Alberta Stake commissioner for Boy Scouts and headed the Cardston party of Scouts a week go to the Calgary jamboree.

Mr. May was a Great War veteran, and had just taken his examinations for appointment as postmaster of the town. He was 50 years of age, married and leaves nine children, five of them married, and four at home with his widow, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morris of Cardston.

He is also survived by two brothers, Sterling I. May, editor of the Raymond Recorder, and Ross May of Lethbridge, and four sisters, Mrs. J. M. Workman, Cardston, Minnie Cleveland, Idaho, Mrs. Agnes McLean, Chicago, and Mrs. Eunice Reed , Calgary. His mother, Mrs. Rhoda May, is also living although she has been bedridden for a long time.

Funeral services have not been announced, but it is expected that they will be held in the Stake
Tabernacle on Friday. All the Scouts of the Alberta Stake will attend.
