He was the son of the late Glenn and Mable Jacoby Arentz.
Mr. Arentz owned and operated Arentz Roofing Company of Gettysburg for 20 years. He was a member of the South Mountain Rangers Riding Club.
He was the husband of Cristine Cullison Arentz and surviving, in addition to her, are one son, William F. Arentz Jr. of Gettysburg; one daughter, Deborah A. Pearce of Gettysburg; two step-sons, Todd E. McDannell of Gettysburg and Chad E. McDannell of Clearville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Mark Arentz of Gettysburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Helen M. Coldsmith; and two brothers, Joseph L. Arentz and Richard G. Arentz.
