Mrs. Elizabeth Rose Smith, 96, of 4320A Cherry Lane, Jefferson, formerly of' 1150 Outer St., Hagerstown, and 23 Spice Bush, Levittown, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 18, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Osborn J. Smith who died in 1999. Born April 7, 1907, in Kingston, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Louis C. and Katheryn Jack Leopard.

She was an avid 10-pin bowler until the age of 92. She traveled the United States.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Smith Coblentz of Jefferson, and Katheryn Krieg of Bensalem, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at Resthaven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown. The Rev. James A. Coblentz will officiate. There will he no viewing.
