She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 12, 1918, the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Ann Davison Pipes.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by a son, Chester Alexander and wife Mary of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; daughters, Johnnie Evelyn Rhoads of Blytheville, Arkansas, Pat Moses and husband Bobby of Round Rock, Texas, and Elaine Moore of Blytheville, Arkansas; brother, Charlie Pipes of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, June Davidson of Savannah, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Gordy Alexander on November 25, 1997; son, Gerald Alexander and two infant sons; granddaughter, Cynthia Rhoads; brothers, Tom Pipes and Melvin Pipes; sisters, Bonnie Caldwell, Allie Jones, and Wilma Dildine.
