AVILTON — Lemuel A. Garlitz, 65, died in Frostburg Community Hospital Friday. Born at Avilton, he was the son of the late Freeman and Carrie (Durst) Garlitz. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church here and a member of the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rosie (Garlitz) Garlitz; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Mae Christner, Johnstown, and Mrs. Helen M. Edgar and Mrs. Mary A. Edgar, both of Grantsville; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Marttunas, Minersville, Pa., and Mrs. Adell Swauger, Baltimore; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church today at 10 a.m. with Rev. Kenny Cox officiating.
