MEEK, Joseph Wesley - Aged 79, who died at his home here Wednesday, after a lingering illness. The deceased came to Oklahoma in 1889. Funeral services were held at the Strode Funeral home Thursday afternoon, with burial in Fairlawn cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Meek, and three children, Wesley Meek, Tryon; Mrs. Pansy Hall and Mrs. Stella Deal, both of Stillwater; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The deceased pioneer was a member of the G.A.R. post here.
