Robert Max Ellison, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away September 15, 2013. He was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho September 11, 1944 to Albert Max and Wanda Ida Brown Ellison. He was the first of seven children.
He married Linda Thompson Ellison December 10, 1977. Robert served in the National Guard. He also was the owner of West Valley Carstar for 34 years. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to teach his boys and grandchildren about hunting, fishing and gun safety and was so proud of his only daughter. Robert loved to golf with his wife, good friends and family. He was also very involved with quarter horse racing in Utah and Wyoming. He loved to spend time with his horses and trainer Glade VanTassell. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife and children Sheri (Mike) Page, Doug (Jen) Ellison, Bryan (Jaime) Ellison, Lynn (Lindsay) Ellison and his six grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Tommy, Gary, Rick, Judy Powell, Debbie Sharp and Diane Gomm. Robert left us with these special words "I wish people would have listened to what I had to say rather than the tone in which I said it."
Funeral Services will be Thursday September 19th at 12:00 noon at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S). A viewing will be held Wednesday September 18th from 6-8:00 pm and Thursday from 10:30-11:45 at the same location. Entombment at Mountain View Memorial.
