Chester W. Adamson, 63, of 914 Lincoln Blvd, a life resident of this community, died at 1:30 p.m. at the Marion General Hospital. He had been admitted at 7:30 a.m.
He had been an employee of Anaconda Wire and Cable Company for over thirty years. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Adamson was a member of Veterans of World War I and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1000. He was born in Jonesboro, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at 814 South Adams Street, where friends may call after 12 noon today. Rev. Eugene L. Kierstead will officiate, burial will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Virginia; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Daisy) Johnson, R. R. 5, Marion, Mrs. J. D. (Erma) McNamee and Mrs. Glenith Clevenger, both of Marion; two sons, Frank E., Wabash and Delano J. of Marion; two brothers, Albert, Monument City and Kenneth of Marion; one sister, Mrs. Imo Stayley, Anderson and 10 grandchildren.
